1 / Diving into Siraya (Aug. 2020 - Jan. 2021)

  • Diving into Siraya is a VR movie conducted by Kuan-Yuan Lai. It has been accepted by ACM SIGGRAPH 2021, BIFEN 2021, and Kaohsiung Film Festival 2020.

  • Conducting sound designing, music composing, and 3D immersive mixing.

2 / Luminous Path (May. - Oct. 2020)
  • Invited by NoiseKitchen.tw to design the music for a light-sound installation for the Taiwan Music Institute.

  • The installation is a permanent one for a pathway outside of the Taiwan Music Institute.

  • Conducting music designing, and programming with Max/MSP, and JavaScript.

3 / The Breath of the Forest  (Sep. 2018 - Jun. 2022)
  • WebXR music installation showcased at NIME International Conference in Mexico City, Mexico.

  • The Breath of the Forest is about the dialogue of nature with humans. There are eight electroacoustic parts, 22 flute passages, with eight 3D video scenes. The player decides the order of the passages and with the music of  997,272 possible versions.

  • The soundscapes are built with specific dynamic technique, so that the music is more immersive than its original recordings.

4 / Journey into the World of Dimensions (Dec. 2016)
  • A VR game developed with Unity 3D engine, presented as an iOS App.

  • The music part is a six-movement work for solo saxophone and electroacoustic music

  • The game utilizes a Google VR SDK, 3D sound effect, and sound location detection objects.

  • Was accepted to the World Saxophone Congress 2018 and presented live as an entire concert.

  • Was invited to demo at Tokyo Denki University in Japan, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in Hong Kong, Klingt gut 2017 in Germany and Audio Mostly 2017 in the UK,  IRCAM Forum & WOCMAT 2016 in Taiwan.

  • Was live-performed at Sibelius-Akatemia in Finland on 1/16/2020, and I-Saxo International Conference Concert at the Elite Performance Hall in Taiwan.

5 / 16th Century Counterpoint AI Generator (Oct. 2021 - present)
  • An AI machine generating counter melodies for a given Cantus Firmus, based on the Palestrina’s Counterpoint Style

6 / Four-Part Harmony Generator (Sep. 2019 - Jan. 2020)
  • The system generates four-part harmony with a given series of Roman numerals, and the output can be in either open or close position.

  • The given Roman numerals can include secondary dominant chords and modal mixture.
